Cleaning & Prevention

We provide professional dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and at-home prevention techniques.

Dentistry is founded on the principle of prevention. After a thorough examination, we will determine how often you should get a dental cleaning. Not everyone should come every 6 months! Some people require professional cleanings every 3 or 4 months.

Not only do cleanings help you prevent dental problems before they arise, they leave your gums healthier, and your teeth cleaner and whiter. A professional cleaning removes hard plaque (tarter)
that cannot be removed by brushing and flossing alone.

Keeping up-to-date x-rays of your mouth is important for making diagnoses. If you have questions about the safety of dental x-rays, please ask! We want you to feel comfortable and safe while also providing the best care for you.

The purpose of the dental exam is to find issues before they become a problem and to address them early on in the disease process. If anything is ever unclear, please don't hesitate to ask the dentist or hygienist to explain it further.

Oral cancer screening are also provided at every cleaning appointment.

We love kids!! We see children of all ages, so do not hesitate to bring the whole family in for a check up.
